HRD -> QRZ Connection

The following screen shots show the steps to "connect" HRD and QRZ to enable call sign lookup.

Go to HRD Logbook and select Configure from the main menu and then click on Callsign Lookup from the pulldown.

When you click on Callsign Lookup, the following dialog box will appear.  Select QRZ.com Subscription on the right hand side.

Now click on the "less than symbol" as shown below.

This will add QRZ.com Subscription to the "Enabled Methods:" as shown below.

The final step is to be sure you provide the login information on the "Lookup Options" tab as shown below.

For those of you who try this, let me know how it works.  I'm good in QRZ.

Carl

Protecting connectors

There are several schools of thought on how to best protect connectors that will be exposed to heavy weather.  I recommend 3M Scotch 88 electrical tape.  The connector shown below has been in the Mentone weather two years.  Freezing winters and hot summers.

I'm addition to the fact it does provide excellent protection against all weather elements, it can be easily removed by carefully slicing open the wrapping with a sharp knife. The result is a clean reusable connector with no residue.

Re: Huntsville Bearing from Mentone

Carl,

Check www.titantv.com for detailed program listings of broadcast stations. That may help you to determine which channels to pursue.

During my earlier searching for digital TV stations I collected the following 3 links for range and bearing info:
Antennapoint
Antennaweb
TV Fool
I think you are using one of them.

I also found this FCC site for reception maps:
DTV Reception Maps

Happy Hunting!
