This is a recording of KB4XX and KB4PYR operating portable from Smokemont, North Carolina.  They are using a QRP rig with nominal output power of 10 watts off of a battery charged by solar cells.  As they are found of say, "Power is sooo over rated!"

Mountain Creature

This creature appears to covered with a natural fungus. It is about 1 cm long. The video shows the relative size, compared to a dime. The last video clip was take to let you see there really is a creature under the outer growth. If you know what this is, let me know.
