Framing footings....October 31, 2013

The footings will be sitting on solid rock.  Stacy is drilling into the rock to drive a piece of rebar to restrain the framing lumber.  Slow going but essential.

Given the grade, there are a lot of steps in the footings.  See levels of framing to handle the steps.

Boxwood

Stand in the power line cut along side of CR 89 looking west. The job
site is on the brow behind the trees on the far horizon.  I fertilized and
over seeded with the winter rye the park area between the row of stones
and brow.  We're expecting rain later this week.

If you look closely on the left you can see the preparation for crawl
space footings. This crawl space is under the master bath on the
southeast corner of the house. On the far right you can see
preparation for crawl space footings for the north end. The garage is
located on the north end as well.

Framing and Pouring Boxwood Footings

Concrete pump truck used to deliver concrete to all areas of the job
site. Heavy steel in all footings. Fireplace footing (stump)
particularly well reinforced.

We'll finish the basement dig today. Floor surface will be smoothed
and leveled in preparation for gravel base. Poured wall footings,
walls, and then floor should be poured of the two next week.
