Water Proofing

A very interesting process. First the wall is scrapped free of
concrete chips; then the tie ends that have been broken off are
"painted" with sealant; then the wall is sprayed with black seal; and
finall the wall is wrapped. The wrap is a plaster material with small
nipples the stand the wrap away from the wall. The outside of the
wrap is a fiber material. Water that finds its way to the wrap is
channled down to a skirt that has horizontal channels that carry the
water to a corner of the foundation that will drain the water away
from the house. These corners with the drains attached can be seen
the last two foundation slides. The last slide shows the North crawl
space footings and the north end of the poured basement.

Framing footings....October 31, 2013

The footings will be sitting on solid rock.  Stacy is drilling into the rock to drive a piece of rebar to restrain the framing lumber.  Slow going but essential.

Given the grade, there are a lot of steps in the footings.  See levels of framing to handle the steps.

North Crawl Space and Garage Footings

Stand in the power line cut along side of CR 89 looking west. The job
site is on the brow behind the trees on the far horizon.  I fertilized and
over seeded with the winter rye the park area between the row of stones
and brow.  We're expecting rain later this week.

If you look closely on the left you can see the preparation for crawl
space footings. This crawl space is under the master bath on the
southeast corner of the house. On the far right you can see
preparation for crawl space footings for the north end. The garage is
located on the north end as well.
